CONGRATULATIONS to Louisville Fire season ticket holder Thomas Diebold. He won the ticket package to the Bengals, U of L, and UK. Next month's drawing, to be held November 3, will be for two tickets to Fire owner/operator Will Wolford's suite at the RCA Dome for the Colts/New York Jets game on November 16. There will be two winners for the drawing each receiving two tickets to the game.

LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE THE TEAM... Don't forget open tryouts for the Fire will take place on October 12 at old Cardinal Stadium at the Fairgrounds. Check in will begin at Noon with the tryouts starting at 1 P.M.

HONOR IN WAR TO RUN THIS WEEKEND...Honor in War, owned by Fire owner/operator Will Wolford, will run this Saturday at Keeneland in the Grade 1, $600,000 Shadwell Mile. Look for Honor in War on the cover of tomorrow's Daily Racing Form. If you can't make it over to Keeneland to bet on the race stop by Trackside on Poplar Level Road to place your bet.

BUDWEISER FLICK BALL AT ST. MATTHEWS... Budweiser/Louisville Fire Flick Ball will travel to Buffalo Wild Wings at St. Matthews Station tonight. Fire OL/DL's Mike Bowers and Chris Thigpen will be on hand to sign autographs starting at 8 p.m. and the tournament will start at 9 p.m. Come out play some Budweiser Flick Ball and watch the West Virginia Mountaineers face the Miami Hurricanes.

TRINITY NOTCHES FIRST WIN... Fire assistant Oscar Brohm and the Trinity Shamrocks defeated Fire OL/DL coach Pat Chitwood and the St. X Tigers 17-6 last weekend. Trinity (1-4) will play at Eastern on Friday night, while St. X (3-2) will play Iroquois. J-Town and Fire WR/LB Alfonzo Browning suffered their first defeat of the season to Bullitt East last Friday. The Chargers (4-1) will face Central this week. Clarksville remains winless after losing to Charlestown on Friday. The Generals and Fire FB/LB Demetrius Forney will play at North Harrison this week. Fern Creek dropped to 3-3 on the season after losing to Ballard. Former Fire OS Anthony Payton and the Tigers will play at Southern on Thursday night.

EAGLES LOSE FIRST GAME... The Holy Trinity Eagles lost in double overtime this past weekend. The Eagles, coached by Will Wolford, are 3-1 and will face Mother of Good Counsel at St. Martha on Sunday.
