October 3, 2005 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, October 3, 2005 (QMJHL) - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's disciplinary committee imposed a three game suspension today, to Gatineau forward Maxime Rousseau. The three games are added to the one game suspension, which has already been served.
The suspension follows an incident that occurred on September 30, in a contest opposing the Victoriaville Tigres to the Gatineau Olympiques, in which Mr. Rousseau was caught illegally cross-checking an opposing player.
Before rendering their decision, the disciplinary committee reviewed the video sequence of the incident and consulted all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL's policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
