
The Bighorns Lead All 48 Minutes

RENO, NEV. - The Bighorns realized how sweet it was to finally be home, and gave their fans a win, defeating the L.A. D-Fenders 155-147 at the Reno Events Center.
The Bighorns were paced by Jordan Hamilton who logged a double-double with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Durrell Summer followed Hamilton closely notching 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Tajuan Porter also logged a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists.
Jabari Brown led the D-Fenders with 41 points, five rebounds, and five assists. D-Fenders guard Vander Blue totaled 31 points and 10 rebounds.
During the first quarter, the Bighorns took off with the lead netting 50 points. Hamilton led the Bighorns in the quarter with 17 points and four rebounds. Porter totaled seven points in the quarter while David Wear and Austin Witter notched five each.
In the second, Wear tallied 10 points and three rebounds leading the team in the quarter. Bighorns forward Melvin Johnson totaled nine points in the second while Porter notched five assists.
The Bighorns went into the locker room at the half leading the D-Fenders 88-67 (franchise high at the half). In the first half of play, the Bighorns shot 64.0% from behind the arc compared to the D-Fenders 25.0%.
The Bighorns came out of the locker room on fire totaling 33 points in the third and going 50% from the three-point line. Ra'Shad James paced the Bighorns in the quarter with eight points while Hamilton tallied seven points and four rebounds.
Porter led the Bighorns in the final quarter with 12 points while James totaled nine points and three rebounds.
The Bighorns return home next weekend with a two-game homestand Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at the Reno Events Center. The Bighorns will take on the Santa Cruz Warriors.
