SURPRISE, AZ - Chris Lubanski had three hits, two RBI and scored three runs, leading the Omaha Royals to a 10-6 win over the Tacoma Rainiers on Friday. The victory upped Omaha's Cactus League record to 5-2.
Lubanski collected a pair of doubles and a single in the Royals' 13-hit attack. Miguel Olivo delivered a solo home run in a four-run second inning, adding an RBI double in the third to give Omaha a 6-2 edge.
Jeff Nettles belted leading off the bottom of the third and Wilver Perez smacked a two-run homer in the seventh to cap the scoring.
On the mound, right-hander Chris Hayes finished the contest by firing two scoreless innings of relief.
The Royals will travel to Peoria, Arizona on Saturday to face the Portland Beavers, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
