The Albany Empire Resigns Two Members of Championship Roster

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Empire has resigned defensive lineman Brandon Sesay, and Kenneth McGruder, defensive back . Both Sesay and McGruder were on the roster for the championship win.

Brandon Sesay has been named a captain for the 2022 season by head coach Tom Menas. Sesay has been a part of 2 championship teams, and made an immediate impact with the Empire in the final 3 games of the season.

Kenneth McGruder was the highlight of the Empire's defense all season long, with 44 solo tackles, 59 total tackles and 5 interceptions. McGruder was a force to be reckoned with this year, and will continue to bring his hard hitting style of play every single game. McGruder led the team in all defensive categories for the 2021 season.

Head Coach Tom Menas spoke on the resigning of the two veterans, "There's nothing more inspiring than watching guys commit to a new era of indoor football, especially players of their caliber. Their Fearless commitment is inspiring to the Albany Empire".
