THC to be official supplier of AHL Calder Cup apparel
Published on June 7, 2005 under American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that, as part of their multi-year agreement with the AHL announced in March 2004, The Hockey Company will be the exclusive producer and supplier of the official championship on-ice and locker-room apparel of the 2005 Calder Cup Playoffs.
RBK Hockey, a line of ultra-high-performance hockey products launched earlier this year by The Hockey Company and Reebok, will produce the championship T-shirts, and CCM, one of the world's most recognized brands in hockey equipment and apparel since 1899, will produce the championship hats. Both items will feature the logo of the winning team, recognizing them as the American Hockey League's 2005 Calder Cup champions.
The T-shirts and hats will be distributed to members of the winning team immediately following the completion of the 2005 Calder Cup Finals, and will be available for purchase at the official Web site of the American Hockey League, theahl.com, and the AHL's official on-line merchandise headquarters, ahlstore.com.
The 2005 Calder Cup Finals are pitting the Eastern Conference champion Philadelphia Phantoms against the Western Conference champion Chicago Wolves. The Phantoms lead the best-of-seven series, two games to none, with Game 3 scheduled for Wednesday night at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.
