
Texas Wildcatters Team Up with NBC4

BEAUMONT, TX (May 13, 2003) - The Texas Wildcatters Hockey Team is pleased to announce a new partnership with KBTV Channel 4. KBTV 4 will be the official television station of the Texas Wildcatters for their upcoming inaugural season. The partnership includes a monthly coach's show called In the Crease with the Wildcatters. Brian Joyce and Lennie Ambrose will host the season long series that will feature the Wildcatters' head coach Robert Dirk, live player appearances, analysis of game footage, and a call-in segment for fans. The show will air at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays during the upcoming season.
"We are looking forward to working with a class organization such as the Wildcatters," said Brian Joyce, sports director for NBC4. "The coach's show will be fun and interactive for fans as well as viewers. Fans will get the chance to participate during the show, and will be able to ask questions of the players and of Coach Dirk."
Jena Armondo, vice president of business operations for the Texas Wildcatters added, "We're very excited about our partnership with KBTV. The monthly show is a great vehicle to showcase the game of hockey to Southeast Texas and the format will provide the fans a way to get to know the players and coach from a different angle, up close and personal."
In addition to their monthly show, KBTV 4 and the Wildcatters will partner together for special events and promotions throughout the season.

The Wildcatters' home opener is Saturday, November 8th against the Louisiana IceGators at the new state-of-the-art arena at the Southeast Texas Entertainment Complex just off Interstate 10 in Beaumont, Texas.
