Texas Thunder to be introduced at Houston Astros game

HOUSTON - The Texas Thunder of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF), announced today that they will participate in a youth day with the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park on Wednesday, June 7.

Players from the third-year Thunder will be signing autographs for fans in the centerfield area at Minute Maid Park from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.

The Thunder will also be introduced as a team for the first-time this season in Texas prior to the Astros first pitch against the Chicago Cubs. The reigning NPF MVP and Texas State graduate, Kristen Zaleski will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The team will then travel to League City, Texas for their home opener with the Michigan Ice. Texas will look to remain hot after winning three of four last weekend in Tucson. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and great seats are still available.
