FRISCO, TX, (Nov. 7, 2014) - Texas Legends Care, the official 501C3 foundation of the Texas Legends, has announced the return of the Dream Maker program, presented by Dr Pepper. The Dream Maker series aims to fulfill the needs of the community by accepting nominations and coordinating targeted donations to families and individuals enduring hard times.

The "Dream Maker" program was created by Dr Pepper and the Texas Legends Care as an extension to the Legends charitable culture. Every game highlights a selected charity, and every event put on by the organization involves or benefits one of those non-profits. The "Dream Maker" offers a helping hand to those individuals and families who may have suffered a loss, are seeking employment, or have a family member deployed. Individuals can submit wishes for themselves or on behalf of others.

Last season, the Legends and Dr Pepper kicked off the Dream Maker program with the young man who inspired it all. Hayden and his family have battled adolescent leukemia and Hayden has been at every Legends game despite enduring treatments. He became part of the Legends family last season and was an inspiration to the team, staff and fans.

"The 'Dream Maker' program is what life is all about," commented Texas Legends Care representative Donnie Nelson. "The ability to help improve others' lives via the variety of services and opportunities the Legends and our partners can present is second-to-none. This is an opportunity to give back to those in need by combining all of our efforts."

The program will kick-off immediately with a web portal found at www.TexLegends.com where members of the community may submit a request for themselves or others using categories of "Dreams". The Texas Legends Care Foundation will then evaluate each request and fulfill every achievable "Dream". While one recipient will be recognized at each Texas Legends home game, "Dreams" will continue to be fulfilled on a year-round basis.

The Dream Maker program will announce the first recipient of the 2014-15 season at the Legends home opener on Friday, November 21 as the team hosts the Santa Cruz Warriors at 7pm at Dr Pepper Arena. For more information on the team or to submit a Dream Maker request visit www.TexLegends.com.
