Texas Brahmas Advance to Berry Conference Finals

GLENDALE, AZ (April 10, 2012) - The Berry Conference Finals are set with the top seeded Wichita Thunder taking on the third seeded Texas Brahmas with a berth in the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Finals at stake.

Texas advances to the conference finals for the first time since the 2009 Playoffs when they ultimately won the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup. The Brahmas advanced to this season's conference finals thanks to a 4-2 series win over the Allen Americans with the deciding game coming on Tuesday night, a 4-2 win at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

The Thunder won not only the Berry Conference regular season crown but also the CHL's Bud Poile Governors' Cup with their 44-19-3 record (91 points). In the Opening Round, the Thunder defeated the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees four games to one in their best-of-7 series.

The two teams met eight times during the regular season with the Thunder winning five of those (2-1 at home and 3-2 in Texas).

The best-of-7 conference finals will be a 2-2-1-1-1 format and will begin on Friday, April 13 in Wichita at the INTRUST Bank Arena.
