Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO - August 17, 2015 - Two Orlando Predators standouts have been recognized among the best in the Arena Football League. Terence Moore and Brandon Thompkins were each named All-Arena Second Team performers as the league announced its defensive team honors Monday.
Moore, a jack linebacker, started all 19 games for the Predators during the 2015 season. He led the team in interceptions, while also breaking up 10 passes. He took two of the interceptions back for scores. In addition to his stellar pass defense, Moore ranked third on the team with 81.5 total tackles, while also forcing two fumbles and recovering one. Moore was in his first season with the Predators, and his fourth in the AFL, in 2015.
Thompkins, a wide receiver, was honored as a kick return specialist. He returned 89 kickoffs for an average of 20.8 yards per return, good enough for the fifth-best average in the league. He brought five of those kickoffs back for touchdowns. Thompkins added in two missed field goal returns, with one of those going back for a touchdown. The fifth-year AFL player set a Predators record for kick return yardage with 1,854 yards in the regular season, his first in Orlando.
The Arena Football League will announce its All-Arena offensive team this Wednesday.
