Ten signature players, chosen by fans, to be honored at 10th Anniversary Game Aug. 1

SEATTLE, Thursday, May 21, 2009 - As part of the Seattle Storm's 10th Anniversary celebration, the Storm organization is inviting fans to select an All-Decade Team consisting of 10 players who have made contributions on the court and in our community.

"All players who have worn a Storm jersey have provided us with lasting memories and inspirational moments," said Storm CEO Karen Bryant. "Now the fans themselves have the chance to honor those players with their vote."

The launch of online fan voting, announced during the Storm's May 21 preseason game, is part of the Storm's season-long 10th Anniversary celebration. Final selections for the Storm All-Decade Team will be announced in July, and the winners will be honored during a special halftime ceremony on Saturday, August 1 - the Storm's 10th Anniversary Celebration Night vs. San Antonio at 7 p.m.

Fans who wish to cast their votes should go to stormbasketball.com and follow the link to the All-Decade Team voting page. Fans can select from names listed on the ballot, or can write in the name of a player not already listed. The contest is limited to one vote per day per fan.

The Storm will tip off its 2009 10th Anniversary home campaign at KeyArena on Sunday, June 7 vs. the Sacramento Monarchs. Single-game tickets for all games, including the 10th Anniversary Celebration Night Aug.1, start as low as $14, and can be purchased by visiting stormbasketball.com, by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX, or in person at any Ticketmaster retail location. Storm 2009 season tickets starting at just $180, group tickets, and 10th Anniversary ticket packages are also available.
