Tampa Yankees to Host "Bark at the Ballpark"

Tampa, Fla. - "Bark at the Ballpark" returns to George M. Steinbrenner Field on Saturday, May 6th. The gates will open at 5:00 p.m. and the Tampa Yankees will battle the Charlotte Stone Crabs at 6:30 p.m.

Fans are invited to bring their dog to interact with local pet vendors and enjoy the ballgame. All dogs must have a $5 ticket, valid county tags and current vaccinations in order to enter the stadium. Proceeds from dog tickets will benefit "Southeastern Guide Dogs" and may be purchased at the George M. Steinbrenner Field Box Office.

"Southeastern Guide Dogs" is a non-profit organization that has provided guide dogs to people with visual impairments since 1982. The school, located in Palmetto, FL, also provides service dogs for veterans with PTSD and dogs that provide comfort at military healthcare facilities. "Southeastern Guide Dogs" currently has over 450 active guide dog partnerships and has had nearly 3,000 guide dog teams since their inception.
