Tampa Bay Storm News Release

TAMPA BAY - The Arena Football League has announced that fullback/linebacker Torrance Marshall has been named AFL Ironman of the Week for his performance in Tampa Bay's 69-40 victory against the Grand Rapids Rampage.

Marshall, 6-foot-3, 260-pounds, is in his first season with the Tampa Bay Storm and his second overall. He scored three touchdowns on the ground as he tied a franchise single-season record with 15 rushing touchdowns. Marshall finished the game on offense with three rushes for 12 yards and three touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball he was a disruptive force all night as he finished the game with two and a half tackles, one sack for a loss of five yards, four quarterback pressure and recovered a fumble returning it two yards as he helped shut out the Rampage in the fourth quarter.

"Marshall played a solid all-around game," said Storm Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum. "We ask him to do a lot on both sides of the ball, he gets in there and plays hard."

Other weekly winners included: Georgia Force's quarterback Chris Greisen (Offensive Player) and Dallas Desperados' defensive back Jermaine Jones (ADT Defensive).

Ironman of the Week candidates included: Dallas' Will Pettis, Philadelphia's Jerrian James, Tampa Bay's Lawrence Samuels, New Orleans' Kenny Henderson and Chicago's DeJuan Alfonzo.
