Tampa Bay Storm News Release
TAMPA BAY - The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm announced today that it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with valued partner Amalie Motor Oil. As outlined in the terms of the deal, Amalie will earn the naming rights to the Storm football field, to be called Amalie Motor Oil Field, for each of the next three upcoming seasons.
"We are pleased to welcome Amalie Motor Oil into the Tampa Bay Sports and Entertainment family," said Chief Executive Officer Tod Leiweke. "As we transform the business and operations of both the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Storm, we are encouraged to know that a company like Amalie recognizes value in partnering with the organization. We look forward to working with its management, helping to achieve new goals as we both look to extend our footprint in the Tampa Bay community."
Founded in 1903, Amalie has since evolved into one of the industry's leading innovators, becoming the first oil company to introduce a multi-grade motor oil with the production of its flagship product, Imperial 10w30. In addition to Amalie's own line of brands, the company specializes in the blending and packaging of private label products for major oil companies, automotive retailers, programmed distribution groups, food and drug retailers and mass merchandisers. Its high-quality, well-engineered petroleum products also include automotive, fleet, industrial and specialty lubricants.
"Amalie Oil Company is more than pleased to partner with the Tampa Bay Storm," said Dennis J. Madden, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing. "As a global player based right here in Tampa, we look forward to growing deep-rooted ties with our community by building this partnership, as well as wishing the Tampa Bay Storm a successful season."
With a state-of-the-art facility located in the Port of Tampa, just blocks away from the St. Pete Times Forum, Amalie boasts some of the fastest and most sophisticated bottle blow-molding, blending and packaging equipment available, as well as various fully licensed products that meet or exceed manufacturers' requirements and consumers' expectations. The company lends its products and services to fit into any market sector with the goal of fulfilling the maximum number of consumer needs, as it blends and packages almost 200 different products in package sizes from 8-oz. plastic bottles to bulk rail transports and ships to all 50 states, as well as 70 foreign countries overseas.
