Tampa Bay Storm News Release

Tampa Bay - The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired wide receiver Anthony 'AJ' Jackson, announced head coach Dave Ewart.

"AJ is a big receiver that goes after the ball," said Ewart. "We love his size, he uses it well against defenders, but more importantly we like the way he goes up and gets the ball. AJ is a battler."

Jackson (6-foot-5, 235 lbs, California (Pa.)) enters his first season in the Arena Football League with the Storm. He played with the Las Vegas Locomotives (UFL) in 2011 and New York Giants during the 2010 preseason. Jackson was an Associated Press and Division II All-America team member in 2009 for the Vulcans as he led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and set single-season school records with 101 receptions, 1,424 yards receiving and 18 touchdowns. The former Lehigh Acres H.S. (Lehigh, FL) prep star finished second in the nation in both receptions and receiving touchdowns in 2009.

The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm celebrates its 25th season in the AFL. The 2012 Season home opener is Friday, March 16 versus South Division rival Georgia Force.
