Indoor football fans will get an on-field look at the game when the Bismarck Bucks conduct a scrimmage on Sunday, September 25, at the Bismarck Event Center. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the event gets underway at 3.
Season ticket holders are invited to a ticket pick-up party at noon at A&B Pizza south. Season tickets will be available there or at the Event Center after 2:45.
Fans will be allowed onto the field during the event to experience the sights and sounds of the game. They will be allowed to listen into huddles and have plays and some of the unique indoor football rules explained to them by players.
The team will go through one-on-one drills, group work, receivers versus defensive backs and traditional offense versus defense scrimmages. The scrimmage is to give fans an early look at the Bucks, who open their second season at home against the Kansas City Phantoms on March 9. It also gives coach Richard Davis a chance to see newcomers trying to make the final roster. "We've invited more players in and may offer them a contract on the spot if we see something we like," Davis said.
The Bucks will keep 21 players on the active roster and four on a reserve roster.
