Casper Ghosts News Release
ATLANTA - Oh, what a grab! Atlanta-based Ticket Alternative, providing ticketing services to more than 150 venues and events nation-wide, has joined in on baseball fever. Starting this June, Ticket Alternative will handle the ticketing for the Casper Ghosts, the rookie affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Based out of Casper, Wyoming, the Ghosts are a minor league team and a major league hit for Ticket Alternative.
"We are thrilled to have the Casper Ghosts as the first key sporting event on our yearly line-up," says Ticket Alternative CEO and Co-Founder Jamie Dwyer. "We hope to provide baseball fans the opportunity to participate in America's favorite pastime, even in today's economy, as well as the support the Ghosts need in order to sell tickets in the most efficient way possible. We hope to continue this new partnership for many seasons to come and show other sporting arenas and teams see that, not only can Ticket Alternative handle sporting events but can do them better than our competition!"
The 2009 season, kicking off with the June 23 away game against the Fall Chukars, is the fifth straight season where individual ticket prices have remained unchanged. The cost of a night at a Minor League ballpark averages at around $47.20 (for a Short-Season-A/Rookie one). It was Ticket Alternative's track record as a company with stellar customer service, a reputation for always being ahead of the count and the lowest convenience fees in the industry that led to the Ghost/Ticket Alternative deal.
Casper Ghosts Director of Community Relations, Chris Maxwell agrees, "We are confident that our new relationship with Ticket Alternative is going to really benefit our fans. Not only does Ticket Alternative help us keep ticket prices down, but they are also really social networking savvy! The Ghosts came in 3rd place last year in the PIO South League, and we hope that both Ghost fans and Ticket Alternative fans alike will come on out to Mike Lansing Field and cheer on our home team!"
