Season Ticket Holders of the Week - The Chabot Family
Every year, the diehard hockey fans wait patiently throughout the summer for the season to start and to learn the names of the new players on the team. For the Chabot's of Lewiston, this has been going on for as long as the MAINEiacs have been in town.
Bob, Missy and Bobby Chabot of Lewiston have been going to the MAINEiacs games ever since the first season. In season two they became season ticket holders and have been ever since. Their seatsare especially fun because they are seated right next to the MAINEiacs bench, where they get a different perspective of the game, being able to actually hear the players and coaches. Over the past few years, they have shared a lot of laughs with the players, along with words of advice and encouragement from Bob. Missy recalled past years where one of the players asked them for a penny before the game, for luck, another player squirting the referee with a water bottle every chance he had until he got caught, and Bobby sharing his French fries with one of the players during the game.
The Chabot family wishes this year's team all the best and hope they bring the cup back to Lewiston!

MAINEiacs Donate 1000 Tickets to Central Maine YWCA
During the first week of MAINEiacs training camp in August, it was announced that the Central Maine YWCA would be closing it's doors after providing more than 130 years of outstanding services in the Lewiston / Auburn area. While the MAINEiacs do not yet have a 130 year history like the YWCA, the organization recognizes its responsibility to give back to the community, where we live, work, and play.
The MAINEiacs, on behalf of our season ticket holders and fans were one of the first calls received by the YWCA offering encouragement and support. Since then, there has been an outpouring of financial support for the region, and proudly the YWCA will remain open due to the contributions received. On September 25th, the Lewiston MAINEiacs donated 1000 tickets to the Central Maine YWCA for them to be used to help raise money to continue to keep the doors open for many years to come!
Please support the YWCA by purchasing tickets there for future MAINEiacs games in November!
