Tacoma Stars News Release
Tacoma, WA - The Tacoma Stars started a new chapter in professional indoor soccer tonight with their 8-6 victory in their home opener over the Kitsap Pumas. The Soccer Center was filled with 700 loud soccer fans and the game did not disappoint.
The Stars got on the board first, but Kitsap pulled level and the game stayed close through halftime. The score was 3-3 at halftime, but after the half the Stars found their opportunities to make Kitsap pay for mistakes, and they built a two-goal cushion. The Stars played experienced down the stretch and controlled the flow of the game, ultimately winning 8-6 in their first professional match in 18 years.
The Stars are preparing for their road trip to San Diego and Tijuana next week where the Stars will take on the San Diego Sockers and Tijuana Revolucion. The Stars next home game is December 4th vs Wenatchee Fire, kickoff is scheduled for 7:05PM.
