Pacific Sports Center and Tacoma Stars are proud to announce our new partnership with Special Olympics! We will be kicking off this partnership during halftime of Sundays game with a special exhibition game between the Sounders Special Olympics Unity team and the Tacoma Stars Special Olympics Unity team.

Special Olympics Unified Sports is an inclusive sports program that combines an approximately equal number of Special Olympics athletes (individuals with intellectual disabilities) and partners (individuals without intellectual disabilities) on teams. Special Olympics believe that athletes deserve a chance to wear their school uniform, to represent their school and to play in school competitions just like everyone else. For this reason, they created the Tacoma Unified Soccer League. Unified Soccer teams compete against other high schools in league, regional, and state competitions while representing their schools.

We are excited to be a part of bringing this program to Tacoma. For more information or if you would like to become involved please send an email to marian@pacificsportscenter.com

Please come out and support your Tacoma Stars and Special Olympics.
