
T.J. Thompson named CBA Player of the Week

ALBANY, NY (January 29, 2007) - The Continental Basketball Association today announced that T.J. Thompson has been named the Player of the Week for the week of January 23 - January 29 Thompson is the second Patroon player to be honored as a Player of the Week, joining Jamario Moon as Patroons earning Player of the Week honors.
Thompson, a 5'10" guard from George Washington, averaged 27 points a game in two games this week. Thompson opened up the week with a 26 point, 2 rebound, 4 assist run in an 89-88 [4.5-2.5] win over the visiting Pittsburgh Xplosion, including two clutch 3-pointers in the final minutes to tie the game. Thompson followed that up with a 28 point, 3 rebound, 4 assist output in an 114-102 [6-1] victory over the same Xplosion.
The Patroons travel to play in Butte tomorrow, January 30, and then have a long layoff due to the CBA All-Star Classic. Thompson will be joined by teammates Jamario Moon and Eric Williams in the 23rd All-Star Classic. Patroons Head Coach Micheal Ray Richardson and Assistant Coach Derrick Rowland will be manning the sidelines for the American Conference.
