Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks News Release
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks have re-signed shortstop and crowd favorite Terence (T-Dog) Green for the 2003 season. Green was a big producer in the middle of the line up in 2002 with a .286 average. This will be Green's fourth season as a Mountain Duck. Green began his professional career with the Ducks in 2000. Green will be looked at as the leader and veteran of the 2003 squad. Green finished last season with a team leading 55 runs batted in to go with three home runs and 19 doubles. Green was dependable as well in 2002, playing in all 96 regular season games.
Dill Re-signs with Ducks
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks have resigned right-handed pitcher Matt Dill. Dill will begin his third season as a professional and third with the Ducks. Dill began last season as the closer and earned nine saves in a row. Dill finished the season 4-5 with a 5.12 earned run average. Dill became a starter late in the 2002 season with five quality starts. Dill is scheduled to be in the starting rotation for the 2003 season.
Job Fair Dates Announced
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks will be holding two job fairs in the coming weeks. March 15 and April 12 were selected as the dates for interested parties to apply for work during the 2003 summer at beautiful Price Cutter Park in Ozark, MO. Both Saturday's the front office will be open at 10am for interviews for those interested in summer work at the ballgames. Job applications are already available at the front office. An array of jobs will be offered from ushering to clean up. For more information call 581-BUNT.
