Syracuse Crunch Announce Staff Promotions

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have promoted Mark Hayes to senior director of revenue & partnership development and Jonathan Smaldon to senior director of group sales, Crunch owner Howard Dolgon announced today.

Hayes, 33, has been with the Crunch since the 2006-07 season and formerly served as the team's senior director of group sales. In his new role, Hayes will continue to work towards developing new corporate relationships, sell group and season ticket packages as well as assist with the day-to-day operations. His responsibilities also include overseeing the Crunch Bunch Kids Club and Summer Street Crunch programs.

Smaldon, 27, joined the Crunch prior to the 2012-13 season. He was previously director of new business development. He will now be responsible for managing the group sales staff while overseeing group nights and putting together experience packages for local businesses, youth teams and families. He will continue to work towards bringing in new business in a group and sponsorship capacity.

In addition to promotions, the Crunch have also announced the following title changes: Andrea Marino to corporate activation & marketing manager, Jan Stransky to season ticket retention coordinator/account executive, Megan Cahill to public relations & digital media manager and Kristen Denick to Crunch Foundation and retention manager.

The Syracuse Crunch will hold their 23rd home opener on Oct. 15. Single game and season tickets for the 2016-17 season are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch office located in the War Memorial Arena at 800 S.
