
Switchbacks FC Look to Continue Home-Winning Streak

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Tuesday, June 9, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC get ready for their second USL match in four days.
Switchbacks FC will be taking on Portland Timbers FC 2 this Wednesday night.
Wednesday's match will be the first meeting between Switchbacks FC and Portland Timbers FC 2. The two clubs were supposed to meet on May 9th, but severe weather forced the match to be rescheduled to this Wednesday. Both clubs are playing in their inaugural season in the USL.
So far this season, Switchbacks FC have played 10 matches and have 15 points (5-5-0), while Portland Timbers FC 2 have played 11 matches and have 14 points (4-5-2).
This past Saturday, June 6th, Switchbacks FC played fellow USL Western Conference club Whitecaps FC 2, and won 3-0. That was the fourth home match in a row Switchbacks FC have won.
"The team is playing with a lot of confidence and we look forward to continuing our streak of playing well,"Â said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh.
The Switchbacks FC vs. Portland Timbers FC 2 match is Wednesday, June 10th at 7 p.m. at Sand Creek Stadium. Switchbacks FC will be honoring local heroes.
