
Swashbucklers Receive Postseason Awards

LAKE CHARLES LA. - At the recent postseason banquet held in Lake Charles the Louisiana Swashbucklers honored several players for outstanding accomplishments on the field during the 2011 season. They are:
- Damien Huren - Most Valuable Player
- Sammy Knight - Offensive Player of the Year
- Lance Fremin - Most Improved Player
- Rodney Beamon - Defensive Lineman of the Year
- Taurean Robinson - Offensive Lineman of the Year
Huren was also named the Defensive Player of the Year.
Several players were also named to the all SIFL League team last week. The Swashbucklers congratulate these team members on being given this prestigious award. They are:
- First team defensive lineman John Paul Jones.
- First team defensive back Damien Huren
- Second team wide receiver Marcus Wildridge
- Second team offensive lineman Jeff Ridgle
- Second team kicker Blake Bercegay
The Swashbucklers enter the off-season as the Western Conference champions of the Southern Indoor Football League.
