"Swashbucklers Dozen"…Roster hits 12

LAKE CHARLES - The Louisiana Swashbucklers have added six more players to their roster by signing defensive backs; Chris White, Tyrone Henry, Marvin Jackson, and Anthony Porter, along with wide receivers Keith Smith and Skyler Anderson.

These additions bring the roster total up to 12. Chris White, an All-Southland conference cover corner from McNeese State, will highlight a talented defensive backfield. Tyrone Henry (McNeese State) returns to the Swashbucklers after starting last season with the team and then finishing the year in Texas. "Marvelous" Marvin Jackson who claims SEC honors from the University of Arkansas, will be one of the exciting new faces on this year's team. Anthony Porter (McNeese State) will bring veteran leadership and will replace now head coach Darnell Lee on the defense. On the offensive side of the ball, Keith Smith, a Mississippi native, will soon become a household name at wide receiver for the Bucs. Also signed was Skyler Anderson of Louisiana College, one of Wes Cooper's favorite targets at the collegiate level. They could soon be known as the Louisiana Connection.

"We have signed some quality players that will make an immediate impact and bring a lot of excitement to this year's team." Coach Lee added.

The Louisiana Swashbucklers 2006 season kicks off on April 22nd against the Corpus Christi Hammerheads. Season tickets are on sale now.
