Swarm Introduce Mike Esposito as New Head Coach

Cincinnati, OH- The Cincinnati Swarm organization is proud to introduce Mike Esposito as the new Swarm Head Coach. Esposito comes to Cincinnati after finishing last season as the Head Coach of the af2's Rochester Brigade.

Esposito coached the Brigade to a 1-1 record after being named the team's head coach on July 9, 2003. Esposito led the Brigade, who finished the season at 3-13, to a near upset of the Northeast Division Champion Albany Conquest in his af2 debut. Esposito finished the season on a winning note by beating the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers 41-38.

Esposito has spent parts of three seasons in indoor football. He was the defensive coordinator for the Washington Shockwave (NIFL) in 2001. Esposito also served as the defensive coordinator/co-general manager for the Rapid City Red Dogs (NIFL) during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.

Prior to beginning his career in indoor football, Espositio coached at the college level. In 2000, Esposito was the defensive coordinator at the University of Laverne. The Southern California school finished the season with the fewest yards against in their division of college football. Esposito coached at West Hills College in California from 1998-2000.

Esposito got his start as a head coach in 1993 at Eagle Grove High School in Eagle Grove, Iowa before moving to Louisville's Holy Cross High School. In 1995, Esposito moved to Vernon, AL to serve as head coach at Lamar High School. Esposito's first coaching job was as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Chardon State College in Nebraska from 1990-93

Esposito has a passion for wrestling as well. Esposito wrestles and promotes wrestling events. Esposito's alter-ego, The Repo Man, currently competes throughout the country in the National Wrestling Alliance.
