Fayetteville SwampDogs News Release
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Fayetteville SwampDogs are proud to announce they will host a 4th of July Family Fireworks Event at "The Swamp". In partnership with Healy Wholesale, Powers-Swain Chevrolet and Beasley Broadcasting the SwampDogs will open the gates for an afternoon and evening of family fun capped off with an incredible display of pyrotechnics.
This event will be free to all families with Military I.D. and open to the public. The SwampDogs are currently working on entertainment for the event. A schedule of events will be released once finalized. Initial plans call for family entertainment, to include live music, games for kids of all ages, food and beverages and lots of fun!
"We respect what the Army has done providing great entertainment for families over the years and we will hopefully be able to fill the void and bring a great night of entertainment on July 4th," said SwampDogs director of operations Darrell Handelsman.
The Fayetteville SwampDogs are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League, entering their 13th season in the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 17th season in 2013, the CPL features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
