FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The American Baseball Coaches Association has named 2015 Fayetteville SwampDogs infielder Branden Boggetto (Jr./Southeast Missouri) to the ABCA/Rawlings All-South Second Team, the association announced Wednesday.

Boggetto played in 44 games for the SwampDogs this summer, leading the team with 14 doubles and finishing second with 26 runs batted in. He displayed a good eye at the plate, leading the team with 20 walks to go with his .286 batting average.

He played mostly second base and shortstop for the SwampDogs, and made a handful of starts at designated hitter as well.

With the Southeast Missouri RedHawks in the spring, Boggetto hit .318 and led the offensive powerhouse with 77 hits, 23 doubles, 13 home runs, and 61 RBIs in 59 games.

"Branden was a tremendous player for us this year," said SwampDogs general manager Jeremy Aagard. "When we needed a big hit this year, Branden was the guy who we could count on to deliver. But not only was he a great competitor on the field, but he did a great job of being a leader off the field as well."

The ABCA/Rawlings teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America Committee.
