Sussex Skyhawks Announce 2009 Promotional Schedule

As spring approaches and the Skyhawks continue to build for another championship season, development of new promotional nights continues. The preliminary schedule consists of Skyhawks cornerstone promotions, more giveaways, theme nights and discount nights.

Nightly promotions for the 2009 season will include the following:

Two for Tuesdays: Each Tuesday, fans will be able to purchase packages that include 2 tickets, 2 hot dogs, 2 chips and 2 small sodas for $22. In addition, every Tuesday, local church groups will have the opportunity to reserve their spot as the signers of that night's national anthem. The discounted package for churches will include: a ticket, voucher for a hot dog, bag of chips and soda and the ability to sing the anthem (anthem performances are booked on a first come, first serve basis).

Thirsty Thursday: will be $1 beer and soda nights (excluding Fireworks night), this longstanding fan favorite will continue for the 2009 season.

A Sussex County favorite will also continue this upcoming season. The Skyhawks will host 9 incredible firework shows. Firework nights will take place on June 5, 19, 26; July 2, 10, 24, 30 and August 13 and 21. First pitch for all firework nights will be 6:35pm.

One change to the 2009 schedule will be the start time of Saturday games in June. The three Saturday Matinees will start at 2:05. On these three matinees in June - fans will be able to take part in a pregame tailgate party, catered by the Homestead Restaurant, listen to local bands perform and have a chance to take part in a post game home run contest. Saturday game times will remain at 5:05pm in July and August.

Sundays will continue to be kids days at the park. Each Sunday kids will have the ability to do the following: receive a free meal voucher, run the bases after the game, play catch on the field post game, be entertained by a host of local mascots, just to name a few of the entertainment activities on Sundays.

Giveaways this season will include, but not limited to: hats, magnetic schedules, logo balls, Scooter stuffed animals, rally rags, glow bats, key chains, mini helmets, championship posters, thunder sticks, hand clappers, etc.

Dog Days will be returning to the park on Sunday, June 28; Sunday July 26 and Sunday, August 9. Bring your favorite dog to the stadium on these days and also enjoy the $1 Hot Dogs.

Old traditions will also continue this year at the ballpark. Scout Sleepover nights will take place on Saturday, July 25 and Saturday, August 22. School Day will be taking place on Wednesday June 3 with a special game time at 10:05am. Also, Camp Days will be on Wednesday,July 29 and August 1, with first pitch scheduled for 11:05pm.
