
Surge's Branden Kosolofsky Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (November 21, 2012) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Branden Kosolofsky of the Mississippi Surge is the Easton Player of the Week for November 12-18.
After being acquired in a mid-week trade with Augusta, Kosolofsky recorded five points in his first two games with his new club as the Surge went undefeated last week.
Kosolofsky assisted on two goals, including the game-winner with only 11 seconds remaining in regulation, as the Surge defeated the Missisisppi RiverKings on Friday, 4-3. The following night, Kosolofsky scored twice and added an assist as Mississippi took an 8-3 decision over Huntsville.
A native of Bon Accord, Alberta, the third-year pro has 93 points and 281 penalty minutes in 113 career SPHL games. Kosolofsky was named to the 2010-11 SPHL All-Rookie Team after scoring 19 goals, adding 33 assists and picking up 129 penalty minutes with the Augusta RiverHawks.
