Surge Visit IceGators Tonight

Mississippi Surge News Release


The Mississippi Surge begins a six game road trip at 7:05 tonight, visiting the Louisiana IceGators, whom they played in their last road game. The Surge won that game 5-4 in overtime on Sunday.

With a road record of 2-0-1, the Surge is the only team in the Southern Professional Hockey League without a road regulation loss this season. The Surge is coming off a 1-0 loss against Columbus on Wednesday night that ended a three game winning streak. Dan Clarke has posted a 3-1-0 record in goal in the last four games. Tonight will be the final game of a five game suspension against Surge goaltender Kiefer Smiley.

Tonight's game (and all Surge games) will be televised at Mugshots Grill and Bar. Following tonight's game, the Surge will be off until a November 29th contest at Huntsville. The next home game won't be until Friday December 14th against Fayetteville.
