
Surge Visit Ice Flyers

The Surge visit the Ice Flyers tonight for the second time this month, and the first game of a back-to-back set as the two teams play here again tomorrow night.
This is the fourth meeting of the season between the two teams and Mississippi leads the series 2-1 with the home team winning each game. The Ice Flyers won here 7-3 December 9th, and the seven goals is the most scored against the Surge this season.
Mississippi has scored at least two goals in each game its played this season, the only SPHL team to have done that.
The Surge roster has had changes in the last 24 hours. Mississippi has added defenseman Mark Pawlowski who played the last three seasons at the University of Guelph. Left wing Shawn Skelly is on loan to Toledo in the ECHL. He is the third player (joining Chris Chambers and Brent Clarke) to be on loan to other teams.
Surge fans can have lunch with the Surge team Monday afternoon at Bob's Burger Factory at Courthouse and Pass Road to watch the NHL Winter Classic between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. This will be a special time and special editon of the Surge Hockey Happy Hour. So meet the Surge players at Bob's Burger Factory Monday afternoon around 12:30. That's at the corner of Courthouse and Pass Roads.
