Mississippi Surge News Release
Showing they are indeed the hockey team with a heart, the Mississippi Surge recently made a contribution of several teddy bears to the Harrison County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
CASA is an agency made up of volunteers who represent children who are in the state's foster care system. They are the children's voice to courts and the legal system. The teddy bears and other stuffed animals the Surge donated will go to comfort children who are going through difficult family situations.
While Surge players are constantly helping in the community off the ice, they get back in action Friday night in Southaven, Miss., against the Mississippi RiverKings. Fans are invited to watch Friday's game (and all Surge road games) at Mugshots. This Friday the team will be holding a special watch party with intermission prizes. Friday's game starts at 7:05 p.m.
The Surge's next home game is this Saturday, November 17th, against the Huntsville Havoc at 7:05 p.m.
Season tickets for the 2012-13 Surge season are on sale now. The team is also has a new line of exciting merchandise available. This season the Surge is also offering a $10 walk up ticket for kids 3-12. For more information call 228-594-3800 or log onto www.mssurge.com.
