It's important for hockey players to have strong strides while skating and this year the Mississippi Surge will be making strides against breast cancer on behalf of the American Cancer Society during the annual Pink in the Rink festivities.
This year's Pink in the Rink game will be Sunday January 20th when the Surge hosts the Huntsville Havoc at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum at 3:05 p.m. During the game, the Surge will wear special pink jerseys. Following the game fans will be able to bid on the game worn jerseys in a special live auction which will take place in the Camellia Ballroom at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
Along with Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Garden Park Medical Center, and WLOX TV are also teaming with the Surge to help the American Cancer Society make strides against breast cancer.
Tickets for all Surge games are on sale now. Discounts include students, military personnel and casino employees. The team is also has a new line of exciting merchandise available.
