
Suns Split Doubleheader with North Shore

The Pittsfield Suns and North Shore Navigators split a doubleheader Friday night at Wahconah Park. The Suns took game one by a score of 7-3, while the Navigators took game two 9-3.
The Suns rode a solid pitching performance by Alex Basso in game one and the offense gave Basso all he needed with a five run second innings.
The Suns fell victim to some timely bloops and seeing-eye singles in game two, falling 9-3. The Navigators used six unearned runs to keep the game out of reach from the Suns, which wound up being difference in the game.
Frank Crinella continued his torrid hitting by going 5-for-8 with four RBIs and three doubles in the doubleheader.
The Suns return to Wahconah Park Saturday, August 3rd agains the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs.
