PITTSFIELD, MA - The Pittsfield Suns defeated the Torrington Titans 4-3 Saturday evening at Wahconah Park, snapping a four-game losing streak and moving them into sixth place in the Futures League standings as they enter the last week of the regular season.

The Titans opened up the scoring by plating three runs in the fourth inning. Zach Wood led off the inning by smacking a double, before Cody Doyle slapped a single. That put runners on the corners for Mac Crispino who grounded out and allowed the runner to score. Crispino would reach first and steal second before Jeremy Pena hit an RBI single to plate the second run of the frame. Pena advanced on a wild pitch and would later score on a single by Nick Lamberti, giving Torrington a 3-0 lead.

The speedster would score two batters later as Derek Gardella doubled to plate the run. Dan Palazzo added another run to the tally with a RBI-double, and hot-hitting Brendan Geary followed with an RBI triple to even the score 3-3.

The score stayed tied until the bottom of the seventh inning, and Geary would find himself at the plate with another opportunity to come up big. Gardella was issued a one-out walk from the Titans starter, before Casey McCone drove the ball to right field and reached first on an error by the outfielder. Next up Dan Palazzo would single, advancing the runners. Torrington would hand the ball off to Kyle Dominy who entered the game with the bases loaded and Geary up to bat. With a 1-1 count, Geary slapped a single to score Gardella giving the Suns the 4-3 lead
