Suns Outdone by Pena and Torrington, 5-3

Jeremy Pena went 2-4, sparking the Torrington Titans (22-24) to a 5-3 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (22-26) on Sunday at Wahconah Park.

He singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

John Russell struck out six hitters en route to the the Torrington Titans win. Russell allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks over six innings.

Derek Bauer was hot from the plate for the Pittsfield Suns. Bauer went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Adam Erkis (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
