Suns Lose Lead in Seventh. Dirt Dawgs Win

The Suns were on the board early in the first with an RBI single off the bat Ryan Arena.

The Dirt Dawgs tied it up in the second with a solo shot by Andrew Bene.

The Suns would continue the back and forth action, getting three runs off a homer by Alex Parkos. They would also tack on another run by a home run from Brandon Janofsky in the fifth.

The Dirt Dawgs came right back in the fifth with an RBI single from Bradley Wood and a two RBI double by Kyle Cala.

Suns would also continue to go yard with a solo bomb by Hal Hughes in the seventh, but it wouldn't be enough in the end.

The Dirt Dawgs would get three in the seventh off pitching blunders. Don Walsh was hit by a pitch, forcing in a run, Jacob McFadden walked in another run, and Don Walsh scored by a wild pitch.

Eddie Santiago (1-0) got the win. Brian Rodriguez (0-1) was given the loss. Joe Simeone got his second save of the season, and Mike Demarest got the hold.

The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game went to Alex Parkos, who went 1-4 with a three-run home run.

The Pittsfield Suns ferry over to Martha's Vineyard to take on the Sharks tomorrow, June 13th. Bob Hamel will hurl first for the Suns against the Sharks.
