Suns Fall to Rox 7-3

The Pittsfield Suns dropped to 10-14 on the season after a 7-3 loss at the hands of the Brockton Rox (13-12). The Suns dug themselves an early hole and were able to string together enough hits to mount a comeback.
Jon Luthe (Arkansas State University) fell victim to a two-out error that in part turned a one run first inning into a four run inning. The 4-0 deficit did not seem to deter Luthe, who pitched three otherwise solid innings.
Frank Crinella (Merrimack College) led the offense; going 2-for-5 with a double, triple, and an RBI. Steve Dill (Harvard) drove in his 13th run of the season in sixth.
The Suns face the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs tomorrow night on the road and return to Wahconah Park Thursday, July 11th to face the Torrington Titans.
