PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Last week the Arizona Sundogs took part in the annual rodeo festival in the Prescott and Prescott Valley areas.

Throughout the week the Sundogs were on hand during the different events, meeting with fans and getting people excited for the upcoming season. The Sundogs will also host the 2012 CHL All-Star Game this year in January.

The highlight of the weekend was the Sundogs' parade float that rode through downtown Prescott Valley on Saturday morning. Tyler Butler and team mascot, Burnie, were part of a group that walked in the parade, plus handed out prizes and candy to children along the parade route.

"It was a great experience to be a part of the parade," said Butler. "There were a ton of people there. Everyone was having a good time. The kids seemed to enjoy the candy. A lot of people had fun."

The sixth season of Arizona Sundogs hockey is brought to you by Cliff Castle Casino and Hotel. The puck will drop on the new season in October 2011. The Sundogs will also host the 2012 CHL All-Star Game in January. Season tickets, mini-plan, and single-game ticket information is now available by calling (928) 759-6600 or visiting arizonasundogs.com.
