
Sundogs Sign Young Talent to Roster

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs announced today, the signing of two new young players, forward Travis Ouellette and defenseman Alex Velischek.
Last week, the Sundogs released defenseman Ryan Gaucher and goaltender, Brad Fogal and signed netminder Chris Rawlings to a contract. Rawlings was assigned by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL), to Arizona on November 22, 2013.
Travis Ouellette 24, joins the Sundogs fresh out of college where he spent 2009-2013 playing hockey for Ferris State University (CCHA). The 5-foot-9, Windsor, Ontario native posted 37 goals and 45 assists for 82 points in 147 college games.
Alex Velsichek 22, skated in three games during the 2012-13 season with the ECHL Wheeling Nailers, registering one assist. Prior to playing in his first professional game he skated for Providence College (H-East) from 2009-2013 and collected one goal and 25 assists in 113 games. The 6-foot, 200-pound defenseman also spent 33 games playing for the USHL Sioux City Musketeers and tallied 10 points and 42 penalty minutes.
Sundogs Head Coach, Kevin Colley said, "Both of these guys are young and hungry for this opportunity, and we look forward to seeing what they can each provide to the team".
Arizona prepares to face-off against the Tulsa Oilers in their first match-up of the season this Friday, December 6, 2013 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
