June 27, 2014 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Arizona Sundogs News Release

Prescott Valley, AZ - After a grueling 10 days living life in a dumpster, Sundogs General Manager Chris Presson and Owner Brad Fain say goodbye to dumpster living as they announced, reaching their goal of 300 new season tickets.

"When we originally were brainstorming and came up with this idea we never anticipated how mentally challenging this would be", said Presson. Last Wednesday both gentlemen confined themselves to a dumpster, eight-feet below ground to make a sacrifice and ask for the community's help in reaching 300 new season tickets for their upcoming 2014-15 Central Hockey League Season. This campaign came one year after obtaining the same success and doubling their season ticket base last summer. "We continuously look for ways to market the great sport of hockey in Northern Arizona and look forward to providing quality, family fun and entertainment. It's important for us and our community to secure a place for hockey in this town", continued Presson.

The Sundogs once again received tremendous local, national and international exposure as people took interest in their progress and success. The National Post and the 590 THE FAN in Toronto Canada each shared their journey with their viewers. Most recently they were featured on Fox & Friends reaching even broader national and international exposure which is rebroadcasted in 70 different countries around the world. Support from local Arizona media includes, Great Circle Radio's, Leza Live and Local on Magic 99.1 and 93.9 The Mountain, The Daily Courier, Prescott Valley Tribune, eNewsAZ, The Morning Scramble, KAZM Radio, ABC15, Fox Sports AZ, NBC Sports Radio with Roc and Manuch, and KTAR 550 Talk Radio. In addition the Sundogs also received coverage from Pro Hockey News, Deadspin, Yahoo.com and many more blogs from around the world. Fain said, "It's an absolute amazing success at any level of professional sports to gain so much media exposure and interest. We are truly grateful for the generosity fans and supporters show us, many of whom have purchased tickets and decided to donate them to local charities in the Quad-City area. "

They'd also like to thank local businesses that helped make this undertaking a reality. FANN Contracting, Patriot Disposal, Asphalt Paving and Supplies, Nackard Pepsi, Gabby's Kitchen, Fireside Grill, and the VFW. "Without support our proud sponsors and supports none of this would've been possible", said Presson.

As the Sundogs continue to make their mark in Prescott Valley and the surrounding areas they continue to put the Central Hockey League on the map as well. The new 2014-15 season will begin in late October and season tickets are still available for purchase, as the Sundogs close one chapter on a much larger story.
