Sundogs Place Keith on IR, Ink Rookie Forward Maloney

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has placed forward Cam Keith on 10-day I.R. retroactive to December 10 and has signed rookie forward Donald Maloney, Jr.

Keith, 29, has appeared in 23 games for Arizona this season and ranks tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 15 points (5g/10a). Nine of his points (4g/5a) have come on the power play.

Maloney, 22, last played for the Ontario Junior Hockey League's (OJHL) Stouffville Spirit during the 2008-09 season, recording 12 goals, 17 assists and 36 penalty minutes (PIM) in 42 regular season contests. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound winger added two PIM in four postseason contests.

The Rye, New York, native first skated for Stouffville during the 2008 OJHL Playoffs, tallying one goal and four PIM in 13 appearances.

Maloney is expected in the lineup tonight as the Sundogs open a three-game home stand against the defending Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Champion Rapid City Rush at 7:05pm at Tim's Toyota Center.
