Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs players Chris Bartolone and Konrad Reeder and team mascot Burnie helped distribute more than 7,000 pounds of food in two hours Tuesday afternoon at Yavapai Food Bank in Prescott Valley.
Bartolone and Reeder signed autographs and took photos with visitors before helping to fill and hand out more than 120 boxes of food for nearly 500 people.
"The quantity of food in pounds that we distribute on a weekly basis demonstrates the need for constant contributions," said Yavapai Food Bank President Bob Wilson. "It takes a consistent donation of items to keep the food bank operating."
Yavapai Food Bank assists roughly 2,000 people and provides 500 boxes of food on a weekly basis. Food items most needed include canned vegetables, canned fruit, soups and stews, dried pasta, rice, beans, cold cereals, canned meat and fruit juice.
Donations can be dropped off directly at Yavapai Food Bank's Prescott Valley location at 8866 E. Long Mesa Drive. Financial support is also accepted via cash, check, money order or credit card.
