Sudbury Wolves Announce 2022-23 Schedule

(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves, in conjunction with the Ontario Hockey League, are pleased to announce that they have released their 2022-23 playing schedule which will see the club play 68 regular season games, 34 of which will played at home at the Sudbury Community Arena. The Wolves will kick off their regular season on Friday September 30th against the Barrie Colts.

The 2022-23 schedule will also see the Wolves return to a regular schedule allowing them to play the Western Conference teams. The schedule will feature 20 Fridays, 7 Sundays, 5 Wednesdays and 2 Saturday games. Evening games will have a 7:05pm start time, while Sunday's will feature a 2:05pm puck drop.

"We are really excited for our September 30th home opener and being able to return to our normal full schedule of getting to play against every team in the OHL next season," said Sudbury Wolves VP and General Manager Rob Papineau. "We are looking forward to starting the season at home before we head out on the road."

The Wolves are set to have a young, but competitive team that will feature the likes of highly-ranked NHL draft prospect David Goyette, Dallas Stars prospect Jacob Holmes, 2021 1st Overall OHL Priority Selection Quentin Musty, 2022 3rd Overall OHL Priority Selection Nathan Villeneuve and Sudbury native Alex Pharand.

"We are very pleased with our home schedule," said Miranda Swain-Boivin, SWSE Marketing Manager. "Our team has been very busy working on preparing an extensive promotion and theme schedule for the upcoming season that we think fans will be able to have a lot of fun with and make the games extra special. We are excited to be able to unveil it in the coming weeks leading up to our home opener, especially as we look to celebrate the team's 50th anniversary."

Season Memberships are on-sale now for the 2022-23 season. Season Members who haven't yet renewed have until June 30, 2022 and can visit the Sudbury Arena Box Office or purchase their tickets online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets.
