July 15, 2013 - Texas Collegiate League (TCL)
Woodlands Strykers News Release
The Strykers are a little more than half finished with their 2013 campaign. The teams has 10 more home games remaining on the schedule. The teams is pleased to announce that for one of those games, there will be a special promotion to benefit the community.
At the game this coming Friday (7/19/13) against the Victoria Generals, the team will have a special promotion for Interfaith of The Woodlands. For the 7:05 scheduled game, fans are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item to be donated to Interfaith of The Woodlands. With the donation, fans will recieve 1/2 off GA tickets to that nights game.
"This promotion is a bit different than the "Saturday Drives" themes that we have," Assistant GM Lance Drake said. "Usually for the Saturday games we usually just take the cans ourselves the following Monday but for this game, Interfaith will have individuals at the game manning bins that fans can donate the items in directly." "Interfaith does so much for the community and we are honored to do not only this promotion but the Saturday Drives promotion as well".
