Strikers Partner with Gourmet Food Trucks

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 4, 2012) - The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced today a unique partnership with five gourmet food trucks for the 2012 season. Arepabox, B.C. Tacos, Che Grill, Dog Eat Dog Food Truck, and Dolci Peccati will be the exclusive food truck partners of the Strikers and will appear at all home games during the 2012 season.

"The popularity of the food trucks with our fans and the atmosphere they add to our pregame tailgate zone makes for a great partnership," said Strikers Commercial Director Tommy Knapp.

Each of the five food trucks will gather from 5:00p.m. until kick-off at 7:30p.m. for all Strikers home games this season. The various trucks will also have exclusive specials available to fans who come visit them. The tailgate zone is located in the Northwest corner of the Lockhart Stadium parking lot.

Arepabox focuses on creating fresh arepas with great ingredients. B.C. Tacos serves unique and flavorful gourmet tacos using steak, chicken, mahi, bacon cheeseburger, and pulled pork tacos.

Che Grill features homemade, simple Argentine style grilled food. Including quality grilled meats, fresh baked bread and empanadas all made with wholesome ingredients.

Dog Eat Dog Food Truck serves up gourmet hot dogs using fresh and quality ingredients. The truck creates their own chili and salsas and bake their own hot dog buns.

Dolci Peccati features premium, quality artisan Italian gelato. Unique flavors of gelato are joined by homemade cupcakes and fresh coffee.

The Strikers open the 2012 season at Lockhart Stadium against FC Edmonton on Saturday, April 7 at 7:30p.m.
