Strikers Guerin Steps Down as CEO

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Fort Lauderdale Strikers today announced CEO Sean C. Guerin is stepping down from his day-to-day role with the club. Guerin will continue to work with the organization in an advisory role assisting on key projects with the club including finding both a short-term and long-term stadium solution in Broward County. Guerin will continue to work closely with Strikers Managing Director Luis Cuccatti and the ownership group in their efforts to improve the club's overall footprint in South Florida.

Guerin, who was named CEO of the club in March of last year, will continue to assist the organization with government relations and community partnerships. He will also be working closely with Strikers ownership on other projects here in the U.S. and in Brazil.

"The past year has been a remarkable experience. The opportunity to lead this club and create the momentum the Strikers have going into this season has been very rewarding," said Guerin. "We experienced a tremendous amount of change in a very short period of time, and I believe the club is in the very capable hands of Luis Cuccatti and the dedicated staff. I look forward to continuing to assist the club where I can while I pursue the development of several other exciting projects."

Finding a fan-friendly and community oriented solution to the Strikers current stadium situation is a major focus of the organization's energy and Guerin will play a leading role in facilitating a resolution.

"We are committed to elevating the matchday experience for Strikers fans and expanding our community partnerships and Sean will continue to be an important contributor to these efforts well into the future."
